Fire Sprinkler Services
Fire Sprinkler systems will be inspected in accordance with the manufacturers' guidelines, N.F.P.A Standard 25, and the local fire prevention authority. Umpqua Valley Fire Services/ A-1 Fire Protection will conduct monthly, quarterly or annually inspections as required by local the local fire prevention authority.
- Inspection of the fire department connections(s) to ensure caps/plugs are in place, coupling/swivels are not damaged. Gaskets are present, signs are in place and no obstruction or damage is present.
- Inspect the riser for any water leaks, ensure bracing is intact, alarm valves are in proper position and no obstructions or damage is present.
- Inspect gauges for damage; ensure the three-way test valve is present and open.
- Inspect, test water, flow alarm and bell. For any visual obstructions and note if the fire sprinkler system being monitored.
- Inspect control valves are secure, no leaks, the open/shut indicators are working, no obstructions or damage is present.
- Inspect fire sprinkler heads for leaks, paint, corrosion and flow obstruction. Check for required sprinkler heads and sprinkler wrench are on site.
- Inspect main drain, test for static pressure, residual pressure -All defects will be noted, brought to your attention with a recommendation how to make it compliant and cost estimate for repairs.
